These products are the simplest way to getting your skin and hair in tip top condition!
Number 1… LEMONS!!
Lemons are an amazing source of vitamin C, not only does this do wonders for your skin and hair it also aids digestion and your immune system! The most effective way to utilise the lemon is to add to boiling water and drink first thing in the morning.
Not only does this kick start your metabolism but also helps to flush out toxins in the body. Great for weight loss and a general well being, however doing this daily you will start to notice the difference in your skin. It should feel more hydrated and break outs should be reduced. If you want your skin to be in tip top condition for your big day then this is the easiest (and cheapest) way to change up your skin prep routine!
Number 2… ROCK SALT!
Now as a rule we are taught to avoid salt as it can add to bloating and water retention! However… add a small pinch of rock salt to your hot water and lemon! This super boosts the hydration prospects of the water, the electrolytes in the salt are released into the system to replenish and re-hydrate.
Also a great way to re-hydrate after exercise or after a heavy night out…
Number 3… COCONUT OIL!
This is literally my new favourite product right now! Not only can you cook with it but it is also an amazing moisturiser, conditioner and all round super product!! I do usually cook with this, it adds lovely flavour to stir fry! When I am actually cooking I take the excess off the spoon and rub into my hands and face (if I am staying in!). The oil can be used as an all over body moisturiser also, take a small amount, warm in your hands and apply all over! You may want to do this in the evening to avoid feeling ‘oily’! Amazing as a makeup remover… again a small amount warmed in the hands and massaged into the face, wash off with your usual face wash and warm water, works really well with stubborn makeup…
Not only is this amazing for the skin, but also so nice for the hair! I pop a tablespoon amount in a cup in the microwave for a few seconds. Comb the warmed oil through towel dried hair and leave for a minimum of 20 minutes. For even better results put a plastic cap over the hair and wrap in a towel. This can be used as a pre shampoo treatment as a deep conditioning treatment. Just make sure to rinse properly!!
